Who is eligible?

  • Ages: Children 4-10 years old
  • Needs: Kids with voice issues like hoarseness or vocal nodules, and those ready for daily home practice
  • Caregiver Involvement: Caregivers need to be open to using strategies at home to help prevent voice problems from coming back
  • Child Readiness: Children should be able to handle mistakes, pay attention for at least 10 minutes, and have some resilience

How does it work?

  • Where: Available at our Lyneham clinic or via telehealth
  • Frequency: Weekly 30-minute sessions that become less frequent as progress is made
  • Focus: Managing voice issues with daily home practice to prevent future problems
  • Goal: Achieving your goals with as few appointments as possible

What happens during an appointment?

During Appointments:

  • Discuss progress and review home practice
  • Observe and adjust exercises based on your child’s needs
  • Learn new strategies and troubleshoot any issues

  • ENT review: Get an ENT review. Start by talking to your GP, who can refer you to an ENT specialist.
