How does it work?
Our holiday boost program:
- Location: Offered at our Lyneham clinic
- Duration: Booked in 2-week blocks during ACT school holidays
- Schedule: Four days per week, with 30-minute sessions each day
- Focus: Aims to achieve your specific goals and build long-term skills
What happens during the holiday boost program?
Our intensive programs are based on evidence-based practices for communication support needs.
During the initial appointment, you can expect:
- Goal Setting: The speech pathologist will discuss your goals for the intensive
- Baseline Measurement: Activities to measure your child’s progress, such as voice recordings, surveys, or questionnaires
Throughout the program:
- Learning and Practice: The speech pathologist will work with you to learn and practice strategies through various activities, tailored to your goals
- Intensive Sessions: Appointments will be fast-paced
- Progress Review: At the end of the intensive, your child’s progress will be reassessed with similar activities
Caregivers should be prepared to actively participate in all appointments and be taught strategies to continue working towards goals at home.
